HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND SEASONS GREETINGS!
Here is the annual update on the Hoffman Times. Our correspondence has been less and less every year, and even our online BLOG [www.mitchandmaria.blogspot.com] has been neglected. We’ll try to get you updated now!
Maria started Kindergarten this fall. She loves school, coloring, and feels like such a big girl. “No more naps,” she says! She loves to dance and has a weekly tap & ballet class at In Motion studio in CF. Dance night is known as Taco Tuesday since we usually head to Grandma’s after class to have Mitch’s favorite meal.
Mitch is enjoying 2nd grade! He is a great reader, does well in spelling, and he is a very caring big brother. He and Maria ride the bus to Grandma & Grandpa Sigmeth’s after school a couple days a week and he is always looking out for her. He still says his favorite “subject” at school is recess!
Chris keeps himself busy as he continues as a stage manager at Lyric Arts Theatre in Anoka, MN. He started a new full time job with EMI, a full service audio/video lighting equipment rental business, and in addition to these opportunities he was also hired at Anoka High School where he teaches high school students about stage managing and assists with their theater productions. His resume looks amazing and continues to grow! Chris’s girlfriend Allie is finishing up her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology at St. Cloud State University as well as works a few part time jobs. We love spending time with them and it’s fun to play together!
Chuck has a couple classes left at Metro State to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. His advisor encouraged him to apply for the College of Management Outstanding Student Award! This week he will celebrate his 3rd year of employment with BIC APP located in Red Wing. On Sundays in the fall Chuck plays football on the Flabby Guys Football League (FGFL), and this year he suffered a painful injury – a broken finger. It is a good thing FGFL already had their 2012 calendar in circulation!
Kirsten continues to work as the school counselor at Cannon Falls Area Schools for grades 6-12. She started training to run a 5K in August – just for exercise, and ended up running a race with Allie, Chris’s girlfriend, in October. They hooked up with a running group who invite them to a 5K every month – January 28th is the next one for Kirsten…BRRRRR!
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Chuck, Kirsten, Chris & Allie, Mitch and Maria
