Maria's 2nd Birthday on April 5th!

Abbey came over for some cake and played with Mitchell and Maria!

Grandpa was all tired out after the "rollercoaster ride" in the back yard, but Mitchell made sure he didn't miss out on much!

Maria tries to fit into the puzzle box--she wants to help out some how!

Mitchell shows off the two new My Little Ponies that Maria got from Grandma & Grandpa for her birthday--she shares very well with her big brother and friend Abbey!

If Maria cannot grab anyone's ears, she settles for her own!

Mitchell, Abbey, & Maria run around while the bubble machine goes nuts! Entertainment for hours from her God parents who made a quick stop by--it was awesome!

Playing Ponies!

Gramps taking a nap!

Maria and Mitchell's "favorite girl in the whole world" as he referred to his Grandma Pudge--made her day!

Grandma and her best boy!

Maria grabs onto Daddy's ears and takes a little nap to get ready for her big birthday party!

Maria wakes up before all the other kids in her daycare room, so Crystal gave Maria a pedicure while they waited for all her friends to wake up! She may be a girlie girl after all! She wouldn't keep her socks on because she wanted everyone to see her pretty toes!

Grandpa plays on the "rollercoaster" with Mitchell! I missed the photo of him coming down the slide! He asks, "How do I get down?"

Grandma helps Mitchell put his new United States puzzle together--by the next afternoon he tells me, "I can do it myself, Mom." And of course he did!

More of the Bubble Machine. Mitchell and Maria runs around yelling, "Catch em! Catch em!"

What a great day we had! Grandma Pudge came down for the day and Grandma & Grandpa came over. Chuck cooked us up a real nice dinner--Grandma made cupcakes and we put Scooby Doo decorations on them. Mitchell also decorated a little cake for Maria's bday that we all enjoyed! The Dombecks stopped over for a few minutes--it was date night, so Abbey got to stay for awhile and play. What a treat! Cooper even stopped over and the kids got to play with the big boys for a few minutes! They both went to bed and slept really well that night!

Easter Days

Easter with Grandma and Grandpa on Friday, March 21.

Easter costumes!

The Hoffman Sigmeth clan gathered at the Hoffmans on Good Friday for some walleye dinner creations by Chuck and Mom & Dad brought a DQ ice cream cake with purple frosting (my favorite of course!). We celebrated Easter and my birthday on Friday as Dad (Gary) left for Florida on Saturday morning with a couple other drug pushers! Watch the CSI Miami episodes and you may see them!!! So Dad and his two pharmacist buddies went to see the Twins. They got to watch 2 games from behind home plate--sweet deal for a retired guy! Recently he called from a butterfly museum/sanctuary and the kids got to hear the birds squawking in the background as they talked on the phone to Grandpa!

On the actual Easter Day we did get over to Grandma's to find some Easter Eggs and candy the Big Bunny had left, but before we went over we celebrated at home...in our Halloween costumes! Chuck was downstairs and Maria insisted putting on Elmo and then Mitchell was ready to be Thomas the Tank Engine--toot toot! We had a great time dressing up and getting candy!

I've been on spring break this week-the first time CF has had a spring break! It has been wonderful! Chuck took a couple days off and we ran to the cities to take care of a few things and got to visit some friends. We also purchased a new MacBook Pro...I've been trying to figure out how to use it and Brent even stopped by to show me a few tricks. We've had Chris on call to answer a few of our questions-we may have to pay him some tech fees!

Mitchell is still doing well and still working on the potty training thing. Maria tells us when she has to go, so they'll probably both be out of diapers at the same time! That will be a nice savings each week! When they get into mischief and Chuck starts the count down he says, "ONE!" and Maria says, "two?" She is a little stinker and totally Daddy's Girl. She has this thing with ears as you can see in the photos! We played in our last snow fall--at least I hope it's the last one. We even attempted to make a little snowman, but he has since melted too! Maria has been trying on her summer attire--her swimsuit from Uncle Brent & Wendy may be a little small, but it sure looks cute!

The kids

Just some photos--Mitch doesn't stay still long enough to get good photos--he learned the sign for "Il ove you" at Weecare over Valentine's Day--that is what he is doing with his hand in the photo with Chris and Maria--he's not rockin' out! Maria has really warmed up to "Brother Chris"! They play around a lot when he visits. Maria was really into pony tails for a while--she fell asleep against the chair when we had company over! Chris looks quite handsome with his new hair do--or should I say with some hair?!

Team Triple Ds: Disco Dancin' Dorks

Amy & Mark

The fourth annual Volleyball tourney to support the 3 Day Walking team to fight for a cure for breast cancer took place on March 15, 2008. Chuck and I played on the winning team! Winners of the costume contest that is! We played with Amy & Mark Pickar and Krissy and Vince Neuman to entertain the folks at the tourney. However, it seems we were one match away from taking the consolation prize--we should have taken it all!!! Chuck was hard to recognize especially as he dominated at the net...Amy wore my dad's baby blue leisure suit and all you saw was her disco sequence hat zooming back and forth across the court setting up for the hits! After a bout of the flu at the beginning of the week Vince came back with avengance! Mark was the superstar jump server and Farrah, I mean Krissy, was always getting a piece of the ball--even lost her hair in one play! We had a blast and all in the name of fund-raising and fun! Grandpa and Mitchell even stopped in for a few minutes, but Mitchell was a bit uncomfortable seeing us in costume! Grandma waited out in the car with a sleeping Maria, but they enjoyed the kids while we enjoyed some fun times and muscle awakenings!

Grandma&Grandpa's House

Mitchell and Maria got to spend a lot of time at Grandpa and Grandma's this weekend. Chuck and I played in a volleyball tourney to help raise money for the DuBar Dolls 3 Day walk to fight Breast Cancer. Photos to follow in next entry. I am looking through the Sigmeth photo gallery and I found some fotos from last fall. We had a really nice day when we watched the farmer plow the fields while we enjoyed some coffee and cookies up on the deck! Then we had some races with Mitchell pushing his dump truck and Granpa pushing Maria in the wagon--Mom started the race with, "Gentlemen....start your engines!" Then Grandpa and Mitchell would rev 'em up and, "Go!" they raced down the hill! Grandma awarded the winners with trophies!

February

Well, I am certainly tired of the zero degree weather! I am getting cabin fever!

We've been riding bikes, pretending to be all kinds of animals; however, kitties or horsies are our pet of choice at this time. Chris will be visiting next week--we'll see if his little sister will warm up to him again! Grandpa made it back from Texas and had to come over to do daycare his second day back in Minnesota! Mitchell stuck pretty close to Grandpa--he even sleeps with Grandpa when the kids stay over night at Grandma and Grandpa's house! They are buddies and it is AWESOME! Mitchell had pre school screening this week and did just fine after he warmed up. He recognized Julie, the school nurse I work with and after she bribed him with a couple chapsticks he participated in all the screenings! Maria is using the potty chair more than Mitchell and she is learning lots of new words! She loves her Gramma and Grandpa--since Mitchell sleeps with Grandpa, Maria gets to sleep with Grandma. Maria cries when I come to take them home! She wouldn't even let me get her out of her crib after her nap--she cried for Grandma! I sure love being closer to them--I'm pretty sure the kids love it too!

Busy!

Santa brought Mitchell and Maria bikes to ride around in the garage! The wood stove in the garage has come in handy for winter time activities! Grandpa was down in Texas for the month of January being a "snowbird" with Uncle John--we sure missed him! He returned last night leaving Texas at 85 degrees and landing in Minnesota in -15 or so below zero--what a shock to the system! Chris went to Omaha, NE for a theatre competition and is now back in the chilly city of Moorhead until April. In May he heads to Boise, Idaho for an internship at a theater out there for the whole summer. Since Grandpa is retired we'll have to sign him on to plan our summer vacation out to Idaho! Glacier Nat'l Park is a must-see! Mitchell is working on potty training--it's a slow process, but at least he's getting the hand of it! Maria is busy singing nursery songs and loves playing with her baby dolls. She is beginning to talk ALOT--it's a fun time! Hi to everyone and I hope You are staying warm and cozy!
